Hi,

Soon we are starting a new project and will be using the Farpoint grid(Spread for Winforms). In the last project we faced lots of performance related issues especially when the data is huge.

Do you have any general guidelines or best practices that we can follow inorder to achieve some performance gain?

Thank you!

Regards

Hello Mahesh,

There are no such performance issues reported using Spread for Windows Forms while working with DataBase.

However, sometimes the Style applied and the Amount of the data to be displayed in Spread may create a little bit of difference.

Making some Settings in Spread while fetching Data might give you a different result.

Thanks,

Thank you

Hello,

That completely depends on what settings you have made in your DataBase however calling SuspendLayout( ) and ResumeLayout( ) methods around your code will help the performance, setting the AutoUpdateNotes, AutoCalculation and DAutoCellType Properties to False may help too.

Thanks,
