Problem with custom cell type and Change event not firing

    Hi,

I am having problems with a my combobox custom cell type and the Change event not firing. I have attached my sample code in vb.net. We are using spread 5

I have simplified my code to illustrate the problem. I am inheriting a Windows Combobox rather than the spread combobox because that had other issues.

When I type into the combobox I want to drop down the list... Then when the user presses the Enter key I want it to exit edit mode and fire the Changed event. The problem is when the list is dropped down and I call StopEditing in the KeyUp event the spreads Change event doesn't fire. If the list isn't dropped down when I press the Enter key the Change event fires correctly. You can test this scenario by commenting out the line of code in the StartEditing sub.

Any idea why the Change event doesn't fire when the list is dropped down?

    Thanks!

    Hi Reeva,

Thanks for getting back to me. I am keen to know if it is a bug or intended behavior as well as if there is a work around or not... Is there some way of firing the Change event from within the cell type?

    Thanks,

    Stephen
