I am having trouble using the SaveExcel2007File method of the spread8 activeX control.  According to the readme file, farpoint.spread8.excel2007.dll must be registered using the microsoft assembly registration tool (regasm.exe) which I did. When I executed the method, nothing happens as far as I can tell.  There isn't even a log file created.  I execute the same program on a similar server and it works perfectly.  The dll's and the ocx have been installed into the same directory -(c:\windows\system32).  I checked the file version numbers of the other dll's mentioned in the readme file and they are, of, or beyond the required versions.

Is there anything that you can recommend that I try.

It seems you are using our COM version of Spread.I am not able to  recreate this issue at my side.May I know what operating system are you using?

Below is the code that I used to save to a xlsx file and succeded in doing so using Spread 8,

    fpSpread1.SaveExcel2007File "D:\excel2007.xlsx", "", None, "D:\excel2007.log"

    Environment:  Windows XP(Professional), VB6.0

I have attached the xlsx and the log file created using this code.
