    I've been looking inside all the forum and can;t seem to find how to save selected cell data from users?

    combobox.Items = New String() {"Green", "Yellow", "Red"}

            gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(0, 0).Text = "GO"

            gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(1, 0).Text = "NO GO"

            If gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(0, 0).Text = "GO" Then

                gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(0, 1).CellType = combobox

                gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(0, 2).CellType = checkbox1

                gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(0, 1).Text = "Green"

                checkbox1.Caption = "Pass"

            End If

            If gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(1, 0).Text = "NO GO" Then

                gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(1, 1).CellType = combobox

                gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(1, 2).CellType = checkbox2

                gridListValues.ActiveSheet.Cells(1, 1).Text = "Red"

                checkbox2.Caption = "Fail"

    When the user selects save how can i save the data they select in the spread?

    There is not a way to save just some selected data to a file.

    bob i was looking around to try and find some answers on the forum. you had answer Anne a while back with
    Anne -

    We have a SaveTextFile method and
    SaveTextFileRange method on the SheetView level and a LoadTextFile
    method as well.  I'm not sure how you're getting the text into the
    database as there is nothing in the spread to accomplish that.

    when i looked under the help section for the save textfile method . dont think this is the same however what i would like to do is save the text Go and NoGO to a vairable that i later call in my runtime side.

    There is not a way to just save Go and NoGo.  You would have to copy them to a hidden spreadsheet and then use the SaveTextFile for the hidden spread.
