Hi All,

First of all, I must say that I am a new member of Club Far Point. I have worked..and worked....and worked on Far Spread 3.5 and 6.0 (both COM) for quite long time. But, as technology changes very fast so we are always on our toe to learn new technologies.

Now, the point is that our organization decided to stop using COM vresions and move on to the current latest far spread version for VB .Net (i.e. Spread for Win Forms 4.0). We have already procured few licenses to start with. I hope that this forum would provide me sufficient information and technical guidance in this phase of transition . Before getting started, I have below doutbs:

    (1) As we are still working in VS 2005 (i.e. Framework 2.0) and as per my first hand information that Spread for Win Forms 4.0 is meant for VS 2008 (i.e. Framework 3.5), so I want to know whether it is possible to use Spread for Win Forms 4.0 in VS2005.

    (2) If it is possible in principal or by any means, should we go ahead or there would be some issues / problems in future ?

    Please suggest.

    Thanks,
