    .NET 3.5
    FarPoint,Win.Spread version 4.0.3526.2008

    If the default printing preference for he printer is set to Black and White,  the sheet is always printing
    black and white, even if in the Print dialog the user selects Automatic color for the preference.  Has this been fixed
    with a patch or in version 5?

    Below in a snippet of the printInfo

    PrintInfo printInfo = new PrintInfo();
    printInfo.PrintType = PrintType.CellRange;
    printInfo.ColStart = 0;
    printInfo.ColEnd = this.Sheet.ColumnCount - 1;
    printInfo.RowStart = 0;
    printInfo.RowEnd = this.Sheet.RowCount - 1;
    printInfo.ShowGrid = true;
    printInfo.ShowColumnHeader = PrintHeader.Show;
    printInfo.ShowRowHeader = PrintHeader.Show;
    printInfo.Preview = true;
    printInfo.UseMax = false;
    printInfo.Orientation = PrintOrientation.Landscape;
    printInfo.UseSmartPrint = true;
    printInfo.Margin.Bottom = 50;
    printInfo.Margin.Top = 50;
    printInfo.Margin.Right = 50;
    printInfo.Margin.Left = 50;
    printInfo.ShowColor = true;
    printInfo.ShowPrintDialog = true;
    this.Sheet.PrintInfo = printInfo;
    this.Grid.PrintSheet(this.Sheet);

     Thanks.  Could you post the code which configures the PrintInfo?

    Hello,

    Unfortunately we are unable to replicate the issue at my end with Spread version 4/5 and 6 as well wherein if we set the Printer preferences by default to blank and white and set the ShowColor property of the printinfo to be true then it prints the spread in blank and  white only because PrinterSettings override the printinfo settings. However, if we set the ShowColor to be true and also set the automatic color from the print Dialog then it prints the colored grid.

    Same behavior have been observed in all the version 4/5 and 6 builds. Could you please specify which printer are you using at your end?

    Thanks,

    Reeva

    Hello,

    We don't have this printer. However, we already tested the same in version 4/5 and 6 of spread using RICOH AFICIO SP C240DN and we are unable to replicate the same. And now since, you used the older version and the same has not been replicated in newer version as well. Hence, I would request you to please update your application with the latest version and see if you are able to replicate it at your end?

    Here are the links for the newer version Spread grids:-

    Spread 6:- ftp://ftp.fpoint.com/SpreadNet6/spreadnetfullinstall.zip

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

    Thanks for the example.  However, given that there are no cells with color in the example grid, I do not think it demonstrates the issue.  I suggest you set the background color for the cells in one column and print with the default printer color preference set to black and white and in the print dialog select automatic color in the printer preference.  When I set the  background color to yellow for employee column's cells, click button1 and select automatic color in the printer preferences, the background color for the cells under the employee id is gray scale on the printout.  This also happens on another type network printer, HP Color LaserJet 2600n.

    Hello,

    Thanks.  Is there an estimate when this will be fixed and is will this be done with a patch or delayed until a new version of Far Point grid is released?
