Text Tip no longer displays after .ClearRange

    I have a spread that has data in a column that is too long for the width of the visible display of the column.  The full text displays in a tool tip automatically.

    However, when I refresh the data in the spread by using the .ClearRange method, setting the DataOnly parameter to True.   The tooltip will not re-display on the spread.

    I know that there was something in the new version that said this was fixed but I do not have the new version yet.  Is there any kind of a work-around possible?

    Hello,

    I am not sure if it is possible to show the Text of the Cell in the ToolTip when there is not Data in the Cell.

    Once we apply ClearRange to a range of Cells it makes the Cells Blank and as you have set the ToolTip to show the Text of the Cell  the ToolTip Shown will be blank too.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for your response.

    I understand the .ClearRange clears all of it and I guess I didn't make myself clear.  I am then re-loading the cells with updated information and the TextTip is not being updated.

    Hello,

    I used the below to first set text in cell then clearing the same using ClearRange and then re-setting the cell text, the TextTip is being shown correctly.I used the below:

            FpSpread1.Sheets(0).Cells(1, 1).Value = "I am long text in cell(1,1) of Column1 before"
            FpSpread1.TextTipPolicy = FarPoint.Win.Spread.TextTipPolicy.Floating
            FpSpread1.Sheets(0).ClearRange(1, 1, 1, 1, True)
            FpSpread1.Sheets(0).Cells(1, 1).Value = "I am long text in cell(1,1) of Column1 after ClearRange"
     Private Sub FpSpread1_TextTipFetch(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As FarPoint.Win.Spread.TextTipFetchEventArgs) Handles FpSpread1.TextTipFetch
            e.ShowTip = True
            e.TipText = FpSpread1.Sheets(0).Cells(1, 1).Value
    End Sub

    Thanks
