    <FONT face=Verdana size=2>Hi,</FONT>

<FONT face=Verdana size=2>I need to display the tool tip for the cells (for the specific column) in the child view.</FONT>

<FONT face=Verdana size=2>For example if the mouse cursor is over the employee cell (present in the child view), the tool tip for the employee cell would be the employee's department name.</FONT>

<FONT face=Verdana size=2>Setting the tool tip property shows the tool tip for all the cells (whose text are not fitted within the column width) in the grid, i need to set the tool tip for the specific column/cell alone with the specific text. How can i achieve this. Please help me on this.</FONT>

    <FONT face=Verdana size=2>Attached the sample code simulating the same.</FONT>

    <FONT face=Verdana size=2>Thanks,</FONT>

You would need to first set the TextTipPolicy property on the child SpreadView object. You can do this in the ChildWorkbookCreated event. Then, you should get the TextTipFetch event for every cell the mouse moves over. This event will notify you of the cell you are over and you can then set the TipText parameter to the string you want to display for that cell and the ShowTip parameter to True for the cell(s) you want this string to popup over.
