Guys,  Can you please recommend a visual test tool that can record a script, containing key and mouse clicks against spread (and other winform controls) .  And then replay the test and report the differences.

Do you do an add on so the likes of testrunner  can interrogate apps containing spread grid

     Many thanks in advance

Scott thanks for the response, I appreciate you may not be able to endorse a third party product. But can you suggest a test suite that might do the job. Having a grid control that cannot be exercised by a test suit is a major problem for us.

We already use NUnit internally and tried to use QTP for the user interfaces. If we can’t find an alternative we will have to consider Test Advantage but that would mean slotting in another grid.

    Appreciate if you could help

    Duncan,

It is not that I do not want to endorse a testing suite, we have not found a testing suite that can get at the interfaces of the spreadsheet control.

How about NunitForms, have you had an experience of using it, or indeed providing a test class wrapper for the spread control for use within the NUnitForms framework?

    Hello,

No. We do not have any experience with this testing environment.
