    Hello,

I registered my spread component using the license manager and everything went well.

When I run my application, which embedded the spread dlls, I still have an error message telling me that the run time license was not found.

Could you tell me what has to be done to include this license in my project ?

    Thanks,

    Yoann

    Hello Yoann,

You will need to run the run time license key generator for Spread Silverlight. This utility is embedded in VS menu only. Once you run this utility it generates lcx file for Spread. Please refer to the attached image for clarification.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

    Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately, I do not see this option neither in Visual studio 2010, nor in VS 2012.

I uninstalled the product and run it again but nothing appeared.

I ran this installation from the file "Spread WPF-Silverlight(Full).exe".

Is there another file to download and install ?

I now can see this options in visual studio, but it appeared only when opening the Silverlight toolkit sample solution.

I do not see it when opening VS without any solution, nor when opening my project solution.

Do you know what is the condition for this option to appear or not ?

I saw that the Key gen (GrapeCity.Silverlight.License.KeyGen.App.exe) can be opened directly from windows explorer. But I'm asked to select an assembly.

Which assembly should be updated ?

     Thanks,

    Yoann

    Yoann,

It should be there under the Tools option in menu bar when you open an existing silverlight project or create a new silverlight project. It gets embedded to VS menu bar at the time time of installation, it does not require anything to be done explicitly. Please make sure that Visual Studio was not running at the time of installation.

If you want to manually update the license file in your project for Spread for SL, you would probably need to run the key gen exe for

    GrapeCity.Silverlight.SpreadSheet.UI.dll

    or

    GrapeCity.Silverlight.SpreadSheet.Data.dll

    (one of them)

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I think the menu does not appear in the tool because the Silverlight project is built on an MVC project and it's not correctly recognized.

However, this addin appeared when right clicking on the Silverlight project in the solution explorer.

Everything was correctly generated and the error on license is fixed.

Thanks a lot for your support !
