    How to bind SSRS RDL file to ComponentOne Asp.Net Report Viewer Control C1ReportViewer? I am new to Component One .Could you provide sample code or provide step by step document to bind SSRS Rdl to Component One Asp.Net Report Viewer ?

    I am using SSRS 2008 and VS 2010.
    I have ReportServiceURL
    I want to display the reports which are deployed in SSRS using C1Reportviewer
    Is it possible?
    If No, are there any other controls which meets my requirement.

    Hi, I have tried binding rdl file to Asp.Net Report Viewer (C1ReportViewer) using the below code in page load.

    C1ReportViewer1.ReportServiceUrl = "http://localhost/ReportServer/";
    C1ReportViewer1.ReportsFolderPath = "/TestReport/";
    C1ReportViewer1.FileName = "Report1.rdl";
    C1ReportViewer1.ReportName = "Report1.rdl";

    When I run the application, I get this error message
    " Report definition file not specified. "

    Could you please guide me on this ?

    Hello,

    You may refer to the following documentation link for displaying rdl reports :
    http://helpcentral.componentone.com/nethelp/c1reportviewerwijmo/default.htm?turl=displayingreportsanddocuments.htm

    and may refer to the sample available at the below link:
    http://demo.componentone.com/ASPNET/ControlExplorer/C1ReportViewer/Overview.aspx

    If this does not help, then a small sample replicating the issue so that I can provide you further assistance.

    Regards
    Ashish

    We create reports using SSRS and deploy on SSRS server. Also another application we are working SSRS on SharePoint integrated mode. All the time we know report server URL and physical path. We didn't find the example where we can use ReportServiceURL. I am sure that my team is missing and they are not able to figure out the issue. Could you please show demo on this if it possible for you?

    Hello,

    After talking with our product managers and developers, I am sorry to say that this will not work. There is no support for remote RDL reports using:

    C1ReportViewer1.ReportServiceUrl = “http://localhost/ReportServer/”;

    One work around might be to download the RDL file and set the FileName property to the downloaded RDL file.

    Regards,
    Fran
