Loading layout xml file at design time

I believe the older c1webgrid had options to load/save a layout file at design time.  This was a time saver if I needed to make minor changes to an existing layout.  I don't drr these options available with the C1GridView.

Is this functionality available anymore at design time?  If so can someone point me to where this functionality is located?

    Thank you

    David T.

at the moment you can only call SaveLayout LoadLayout methods in run-time.

We will add these options to C1GridView designer for the next release.

There's been a couple of releases since I first posted this back in April and this functionality still doesn't exist.

Again, this functionality was taken away moving from C1WebGrid to C1GridView.

I can't believe you provide functionality like this and take it away.  It's a pretty important and time saving feature.  It lets me design multiple reports, each having certain groupings aggregations,..etc.   And allows me to provide the end user a list of reports and load the proper layout according to which report is chosen.

If I needed to add/remove a column, or make any changes to a report, with the C1WebGrid, I would load it in design time, use the designer to make changes and save it, simple as that.

If you can tell me how I can make changes to an existing report layout file, please let me know, I would be estatic to hear any suggestions.  Don't say we will add these options on the next release, its been 7 months and these options have not been added.

We will make the necessary changes in code on Monday next week. I believe we will be able to build a prerelease version of web controls containing this feature somewhen next week. Sorry for not getting back on this earlier.
