I'm evaluating the .NET components, specifically the scheduler control... so my apologies for the newb question.
If I follow the example in the documentation of adding an appointment via XML:
app = this.C1Schedule1.DataStorage.AppointmentStorage.Appointments.Add();
Everything works fine. I'd prefer to use this method, as binding to a table isn't really an option for me. So I created a LINQ query to retrieve my data, in this case, 79 rows, and simply add each appointment to the XML file. The data loads to XML iin about half a second, but then when the page begins to display, the appointments show up but IE starts timing out with:
"Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing internet explorer to run slowly, if it continues to run your computer might become unresponsive."
If I tell it to keep running, the calendar continues rendering, but the warning message pops up about every 10 seconds.
Am I taking the wrong approach to loading events into the scheduler?
