QR Barcode used in ASP.NET

I'm using the report designer and incorporating a QR barcode into a report, replacing the 39 barcode. When view the report in the report viewer in a asp.net page the QR barcode renders an error stating "can not load assembly c1.win.c1barcode". However, the 39 barcode works fine in the viewer but the QR barcode does not. Both the viewer and the designer are ver 4. My question is how to get the QR barcode to work in the report viewer using a web page or is it just a win form control??

Thanks,
PG

Hello PG,

The QRCode is not just a winforms control, however, it is included in the winforms studio. You can download its dll from the following url and reference it in your project : http://prerelease.componentone.com/dotnet40/c1barcode/2012-t2/C1BarCode.4_4.0.20122.56.zip

Once you've added the reference, please include its namespace on the page using C1QRCode :

using C1.Win.C1BarCode;

There are a few steps to Generate QR Code in ASP.NET Library:
1,Install ASP.NET Barcode Control;
2,Add ASP.NET Barcode Control onto your .NET Visual Studio Toolbox;
3,Copy "qrcode.aspx" and "qrcode.aspx.cs" to the folder where your aspx pages are generating barcodes;
4,Drag and drop the WebQRCode control into the Forms;
5,Run the website and you will see a barcode image generated.
AS for myself, I used to generate QR code, code 39 and other barcodes with the help of another third party barcode generator SDK.
It is just one of many but I do appreciate its simple way of processing.Even though I only tried its free trial package, it works well.
Besides, this barcode site gives a lot of choices for report barcoding project. You can pick one you indeed need if necessary.
I hope it helps.
Best regards,
Arron
