Website Project Licensing Issues

    We have a large website project and we deploy the application using XCopy deployment. To deploy the license file, we generated the App_Licenses.dll using Build runtime licenses option and copy it to the BIN folder on production server. However, everytime a report is run for the first time after application start, it shows the evaluation message. If we refresh or access the same report again, the message is no longer there.

    It seems that it has to do with the page level compilation option. This is very irritating as we cannot use the pre-compiled option because of the frequently updated individual components of this large intranet application.

    Kindly suggest a viable solution ASAP.

    Which version of report are you using? Some licensing issues were fixed recently, in particular note the following issue:

    C1WebReport for .Net Build 2.6.20092.52107, 13-Aug-2009

    * Licensing issue fixed (nag screen could appear when exporting a
      licensed C1Report if there was no line for C1PrintDocument in

    You can d/load the latest v2 build from the following link:

    Please try it and let me know whether it helps.

    Hi Dima,

    Since we are using the application internally, we did not pay as much attention to this issue so far. However, now more people are using it and the program is still showing nag screen. We upgraded to 2010-V2 and our licx file looks like this:

    C1.Web.UI.Controls.C1Report.C1ReportViewer, C1.Web.UI.Controls.C1Report.2

    We are not using the ReportViewer at all and are directly exporting the Print Document to PDF. To create the instance of the document we are calling:

               C1ReportViewer viewer = new C1ReportViewer();

               C1PrintDocument doc = viewer.CreateC1PrintDocument();

    And to export, we are calling:

                   ms = new MemoryStream();

                   doc.Export(ms, new C1.C1Preview.Export.PdfExportProvider(), false);

    Any ideas, how to resolve this issue?
