    Hi all,

Is it possible to get the value that the user types in from the Combobox if they don't select one of the options?

Let's say I have new england, new jersey, and new york in the list items. if the user types New, all three options show up. I have autocomplete turned off so it's not selecting a value

Can I get the value they have typed in (new) and use THAT value in place of the selecteditem value? Yet still allow them to select new england as well if they choose that.

I'm trying to create a function that will filter dataset results based on what they type in the text for the combobox. If they want to choose a specific value, I have that working no problem using javascript and feeding that to my function. But if they don't choose a value, how do I access what they typed in so I can feed that instead?

    Hello Jon,

As discussed in issue ID: 7059-139, the value typed by the user can be retrieved by handling the OnClientChanged and OnClientClose events of the C1Combobox.
