    Hi,

i’m facing a performances issue with C1FlexGrid, seems the getter of Node is very heavy but the current code use it intensively.

so… i’m thinking about switch to an “unbounded” version as i did in the past for plain grids, but i cannot find any example… it is possible?

    thanks,

    David

    Hello,

You can refer to the “TreeNode” product sample located at “~\Documents\ComponentOne Samples\WinForms\C1FlexGrid\CS\TreeNode” for the desired requirement.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks.

hi thanks but the sample TreeNode is not unbounded/virtual.

i would like to know if is possible to have a tree with ‘virtual’ features:

    “~\Documents\ComponentOne Samples\WinForms\C1FlexGrid\CS\VirtualMode”

    thanks

    Hello David,

Could you please explain what type of tree structure do you want to create using VirtualMode

1: Like TreeView (as shown in TreeNode sample)

2: Like MasterDetail (as shown in DataTree sample)

3: Like DBTree (as shown in DBTree sample)

If you want struct like TreeView then could you please how do want to create node and child node from the datasource.

This is very helpful for us to provide the best solution for you.

    Thanks

    hi mohitg,

    i’m sorry for the delay.

it’s a bit difficult explain the structure of the tree. basically it’s very simular to the MasterDetail demo.

our application let the final user create his own data structure and edit it. each sub-node has it’s own structure and N occurrence of data.

normally data dont exceed the 100-150kb, but now a final user wants to handle 3-10mb and it takes minutes.

I will try to investigate the option of convert what we have using sub-grids, i will write a demo simulating the number of nodes/subnodes i need.

    thank you very much,

    David
