I want to copy a flexgrid via clipboard from one form to another. An initially written memorystream cannot be read in into a new flexgrid. The exception is thrown and the additional information is: typeconverter cannot convert from System.String.

    How can I debug this?

After ignoring this error, the stream is correctly read in and the flexgrid shows the same.

    Any help?

    Regards

    Hello,

I am unable to reproduce the issue at our end with the latest build. Please refer to the attached application.

Could you please either modify the attached application or provide your own stripped down project so that I can try reproducing the same behavior at my end and assist you further accordingly?

You can download the latest build from the following link:

    http://prerelease.componentone.com/dotnet40/c1winforms/2018-t3/C1WinForms.4_4.0.20183.343.zip

    Thanks.

    Hello,

I have Visual Studio Express 2015 with FW4.6.1

My Version is: 4.0.20182.320 and v4.0.30319. With this I get the same error with your code when reading the stream. Your provided version is 4.0.20183.343 and FW4.5.2 and I get an error:

Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State

Error ‘Could not load file or assembly ‘C1.Win.C1FlexGrid.4, Version=4.0.20183.343, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=79882d576c6336da’ or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515)’

    File: LC

One can ignore this error, but it looks like an unclean implementation…

    Hello Chris,

Could you please check with the latest version of C1Winform. You can install the same from the following link:

    http://prerelease.componentone.com/dotnet40/c1winforms/2018-t3/C1WinForms.4_4.0.20183.343.zip

It solves the above LC error.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

same LC error as before. I copied the unzipped C1.Win.C1FlexGrid.4.dll Version 4.0.20183.343 to the solution directory and referenced it, but no chance…

    Changed to 4.6.1: the same.

    Regards

    Hello,

It was hard work to run a clean project, but the error vanished. Thanks.

With this version of flexgrid I had some strange behaviours like no designers. I am waiting for the new update with c1live, no time to evaluate this error any more.

    Regards

    Chris

    Hello Chris,

We regret you had to face issues using ComponentOne.

However, as far as I can understand, by ‘strange behaviours like no designers’ you meant the ‘Controls are not loaded at Design time’ error. If that is so, you can get it resolved by installing the Designer dlls of the same version of control(s) in GAC or copying the same to folder where Visual Studio’s “devenv.exe” file exists, like for VS15, it exists at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE

    Thanks,

    Ruchir
