    Hi,

I’m wondering if it’s possible to uninstall the dot net 2.0 components of Winforms and OLAP. I’m running out of space on my machine and am looking for opportunities to uninstall stuff I don’t use. All my development work is done using dot net 4.7 and I don’t include any of the 2.0 GrapeCity components.

    Any thoughts anyone?

    Adrian.

    Hi Adrian!

In order to uninstall set of desired DLLs, you need to unregister them manually.

As an additional piece of information, in future, please make sure that you Update ComponentOne Studio for WinForms(.NET 4.0) to Latest Version" instead of the option “Update WinForms Edition to Latest Version” that comes on right clicking on WinForms while updating C1 DLLs.

    Hi Meenakshi,

Thanks for the information. Can you provide some help on how to unregister the dlls manually please. When I look in the C:\Program Files (x86)\ComponentOne\WinForms Edition\bin library I only see the v4.0 folder.

Your suggested method of updating is the one I’ve always used. I use C1 Studio Live, right click the (NET 4.0) entry and select the update option. Is this correct?

    Hello Adrian,

The dlls can be manually unregistered by simply removing them with the v2.0 folder from the bin directory. As you say that the folder does not exist for you there, it seems that the version is already removed by you.

Your suggested method of updating is the one I’ve always used. I use C1 Studio Live, right click the (NET 4.0) entry and select the update option. Is this correct?

    Yes, that’s right.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards,

    Esha
