I have a zip file which was created on a Mac and the files have some german umlaut characters (äöü).
When I unzip the files in my winforms app the filenames do not contain the proper umlaut characters.
    I'm afraid I'm using a very old version on C1Zip (2.1.20101.62).

Does the latest version support this?

    Hi Thomas,

We tried extracting a zip file containning the mentioned characters i.e; (äöü) in it's name and in the name of the file it contains using ZipFileDemo product sample application. However, we could not replicate the issue at our end. Hence, we request you to please share the zip file you are using, sample application in which you are facing the issue and screenshot representing the issue. Also share the environment details (OS, Language, etc.) on which you are facing the issue.

You can download the sample application that we used from the link given below:

    Thanks,

I ran your test program with my zip file and it also had a problem. see attached screen shot of winzip (top) and test program (bottom).
Unfortunately I cannot send you the zip file because it contains confidential client files.
Is my version of C1ZIP (2.1.20101.62) ok?

    Hi Thomas,

    Thanks for providing the screenshot.

However, we could not replicate the issue with the C1Zip version 2.1.20101.62. Please refer to the attached screenshot.
Hence, in order to further investigate on this issue we request you to please share the zip file with which you are facing the issue. If you are not willing to share it's content then, you can share a similar zip file without sensitive data. It will help us to find the root cause of the issue and escalate it, if necessary.

    Thanks,
    Akshay

Attached are a file I created on a Mac and a client file. When I open both files with the test program you sent me I'm having problems with the filenames.
Hope this helps to identify the problem

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for providing the zip file.

I tried opening it in the sample application. But, I could not replicate the issue at my end. Please refer to the attached screenshot.
It seems that the issue is specific to the machine itself. Hence, I suggest you to please try opening the same zip file in some other machine as well.

    Thanks,
    Akshay
