  Hello,
  
  I am using 3 nested Datagrids to display some stats. [Parent > Child > Grand child]
  
  I want to export all the information including its groups to excel with maintaining hierarchy. Please let me know the smartest way to implement the same.

  Hi Swapnil,

  C1DataGrid supports to export Collapsible Groups to Excel but not for Detail Rows till now. We are discussing about it with our development team [TFS ID : 356922] and will update you as soon as they suggest something.

  We are sorry to inform you that we didn’t have get any update yet from developers regarding this issue. However we have asked them again for a possible way to achieve this. Will update you as soon as they reply.

  Hi Swapnil,

  As per developers, its a limitation. As Data grid is exported to a sheet and in this case, a row detail is another C1DataGird. But in Excel, we have no way to put a sheet into a cell. If we try to present data that look like the thing we see in application, it means we lose the hierarchy of the data.
