We are trying RichTextBox control from ComponentOne Studio for currently developed feature.

Most of its functions work as expected, but recently i have discovered one issue.

In some cases when i try to paste hypertext content from clipboard into the RichTextBox it throws an exception.

To reproduce the issue you could try to copy/paste selected text from the page on attached screenshot.

It seems like the component has some difficulties trying to parse content and convert it to internal document structure.

Could somebody help me with the issue?

    Hi,

I could replicate the issue at my end as well. I have escalated it to the development team (Internal Tracking ID: 298034) and will let you know once there is any information from them.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

The HTML-formatted string from the clipboard contains the following string:

    list-style-image: url("data:image/svg+xml,%3C%3Fxml version=%221.0%22 encoding=%22UTF-8%22%3F%3E%0A%3Csvg xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22 width=%225%22 height=%2213%22%3E%0A%09%3Ccircle cx=%222.5%22 cy=%229.5%22 r=%222.5%22 fill=%22%2300528c%22/%3E%0A%3C/svg%3E%0A");

Please note, this url is not a supported uri link, but a data:image/svg+xml. Can you please share your use case in detail so that we can look into this further?

I had understood the cause of the issue before i sent the first message here.

I see that some content type is not supported and that is very dissapointing.

But anyway we would like to have an option to see no exception when we are pasting content from clipboard.

    Hi,

We are discussing with the developer about any workarounds of seeing no exception while pasting content from clipboard.

We will update you once we have a solution.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

We have received response from the development team and this exception would be handled inside control. This change will be integrated with some future build.

    Thanks,
