    Hi,

Is there any way to support Dutch translations in ActiveReports? I see English(en), Japanese(ja), and Chinese(zh) are supported. Can we write our own translations?

yes, we can send you text files with strings that need to be translated. Once you translate them, we can include the NL resources in the product.

Please send them and i will take a look. If i translate the files, when can we expect them to be released?

The content of the .zip file isn’t correct. There are no string which can be translated. Can you update the zip file?

We will try to publish the updated version of the localization package by the end of the week

I sent you an email. Let me know if you haven’t received it.

I’d need the same thing for Spanish. I’d also like to translate the designer and every error message.

    Thanks in advance.

Same here for German. Is the zip file from above still up to date?

  • Posted 3 November 2021, 8:44 pm EST

It is, but we can integrate the translation only if you have the license for ActiveReportsJS

    Hey Sergey,

I have now translated the viewer strings to german.

I own the license as you can see in my account details.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I posted ticket #ARJ-3897 to integrate the translation into the product. I will keep you posted about the progress.

    Hello,

We integrated the German translation into the product.

You can find the documentation for setting the language of the viewer component at https://www.grapecity.com/activereportsjs/docs/DeveloperGuide/ActiveReportsJSViewer/Localization

To set the language to German, set the “language” property of the viewer component to “de”.

But make sure that you use the most recent version of the @grapecity/activereports-localization package

    Works fine, thank you!

    Hey,

after having translated the viewer, is it possible to translate the designer as well?

  • Posted 23 January 2022, 9:25 pm EST

    Hello, Peter,

Yes, it is possible to translate the designer component, but it involves much more work than for the viewer component. The designer contains thousands of strings to translate. If you would like to do that, we can send you the textual resources.

    Hey Sergey,

thx for the reply. Is it possible to take a look at those strings before we decide?

  • Posted 23 January 2022, 10:53 pm EST

Sure, I will contact the development team to obtain the resource and get back to you.

  • Posted 24 January 2022, 9:44 pm EST

    Hello,

I attached the archive containing all the resources that need to be translated. Note that to integrate the localization into the product, we would need all of the textual strings to be translated, even if you don’t plan to use some functionality.

    Hello, Peter,

Previously, you provided us with the ActiveReportsJS Report Viewer Component UI translation to the German language.

We introduced new UI elements for the upcoming ActiveReportsJS 3.0, and the translation needs to be updated.

I should have mentioned before that we might want to reach you to help us to update the translation as we introduce new UI elements.

I assumed that it would be fine, but if it’s not, sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you please confirm if you would be able to translate the newly introduced UI elements?

There are about 20 strings to translate.
