I have a report with multiple sections with each section in a container. I would like to be able to hide a section/container and have the following content move up in the report to fill in the space but I can’t figure out how to do this. Is this possible?

Right now, it seems like because the Top property is set on the following container that it spaces itself down that much regardless of whether I have Consume Whitespace, etc. toggled on. Is there a value I can set for Top so that it is relative rather than absolute?

    Hello,

Could you share the report file along with a small sample of embedded data so that we could look at the issue close?

Attached is a really simple example. It has 3 sections with Section2 hidden. What I would like to do is have Section3 move up when Section2 is hidden. I can do this programmatically by altering the value of Top but was hoping there was a simpler way to do it via report configuration.

    Hello,

    Thanks for sharing the sample.

I don’t think that it’s currently possible to automatically move up items so that they fill out the available space.

If you could achieve the desired result by programmatically altering the report definition, then this is the only solution as of now.

I have a hidden column in a Tablix table which leaves a gap when the column is hidden

I can close the gap in a normal table but cant see the option to do the same in a Tablix table

Is this possible for columns in Tablix?

    Hello, Sean,

A hidden column in a tablix should not leave a gap. do you have a report sample to share with us so that we could look at the issue close in our end?

I have provided screen shots of the output of the report, but am not sure how I would send over a report to you.

I may have missed something in setting up the Tablix report, have you any instructions on settings that I would have to apply for this behavior to not happen?

As with the non-tablix table I had to apply the ‘Auto Width’ to ‘Proportional’

    Thanks for providing the details.

I replied in the CRM and suggest keeping the conversation there.
