I’m using VSFlexgrid in a VBA project, and it works fine on my local laptop. I now want to use it on my new laptop, and for that reason I have registered the ocx in the SysWOW64 folder. The component is correctly listed in the VBA references list, but is not available when I try to add it as an additional control. Do I have to install the full product to make it work? It should be enough to register the ocx, right?

    Hi Rickard,

I would suggest you to follow the below mentioned blog article in order to register 64 bit VSFlexGrid on your machine:

    https://www.grapecity.com/blogs/registration-of-64-bit-activex-controls

Registering the control this way should suffice.

I would also like you to know that VSFlexGrid does work with VBA environment; however the license and the licensing mechanism is going to be different from the one that is used for Standard Container like VB. There is a separate license (non standard container license) to be purchased to use the ActiveX controls under the VBA environment. Also, VSFlexGrid 8.0 has not been tested for use in this environment. Thus, it is not recommended to use VSFlexGrid in VBA.
