OLEDB vrsion of TDBGrid

Hi,
I am sorry to mention but TrueDBGrid 8.0 does not support unicode characters. However we do provide another grid named as VSFlexGrid which is also available in unicode version. Please refer to the following links for more information on VSFlexGrid:

Thanks and Regards,

VSFlexGrid has a different object model. What is to do with many-many lines of existent code?

Does it mean TDBGrid has ended its history and development? And now everyone must migrade into VSFlexGrid? What are its benefits?

Hi,
I understand that both of them have different object models. But, unicode support is available in VSFlexGrid only. Please refer the following link for detailed information on VSFlexGrid and its various features:
http://helpcentral.componentone.com/nethelp/vsflexgrid8/vsflexgridintroduction.html
In simple words,
TrueDBGrid: Database-Connection & Recordset-handling
VSFlexGrid: Optic & flexibility
Note, all the ActiveX controls are in maintenance mode from a long time and we no longer provide any bug fixes or enhancements for the same.
This being said, we can still look into the matter and if a reasonable set of customers demand for a bug fix we can try to fix it or maybe suggest a workaround for the same, if it exists.
Thanks,
Pragati

Suggest me a workaround what must I do in concrete numeric list to realize unicode support in your old tdbgrid(oledb) COM-component, plz. The data’re stored in Access and MS SQL Server db in unicode format. I have been processing millions lines of code with your component, with which I was in love 10 years ago.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am sorry but there is no workaround. ComponentOne TDB products such as Grid and List do not support Unicode and there may be problems while trying to display Unicode characters in them. They do support Native Language though, that is, the grid would be able to display unicode characters if the application is compiled in native OS (enabling the said language will not work) with the native copy of VB.

Do these products have the unicode support:
ActiveX TrueDBList
ActiveX TrueDBInput (with TextBox and so on)
