    Hi

When integrating the aspnet designer in my echosystem I’m having difficulty converting the section reports I have stored in the database to JSON objects the designer can work with. for some reason the ReportConverter is only willing to accept page reports.

    please help

    Hi,

The ReportConverter class supports converting only PageReports. Please see the following documentation link with all the methods supporting only GrapeCity.ActiveReports.PageReportModel.Report

    thanks for the reply.

so you’re saying that currently there’s no way to use the web designer for section reports?

Currently, the WebDesigner supports Page, semantic and RDL reports as mentioned here: https://www.grapecity.com/activereports-webdesigner/

The Web Designer now supports Section Reports, but it still appears the ReportConverter in v17 still does not allow passing in Section Reports. Is there a way to convert Section Reports to json? The UseDesigner is doing it somehow.

    Hi Mark,

Unfortunately, converting SectionReports to JSON is currently not possible. However, I can see that converting XML-Based SectionReports to JSON is on the To-Do list of our development team and it may come in the upcoming Service Pack update of ActiveReports 17.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Regards,

    Anand
