I had a working solution on an old machine but I had to get a new machine due to hardware failure so installed Active Reports 13 on the new machine with the old solution. Now when opening the solution I get a slew of errors all related to copying AR 13 assemblies to the bin\debug directory of the old solution. It says that VS 2019 has them locked and it can’t copy. Here’s the error:

Could not copy “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\GrapeCity\ActiveReports 13\GrapeCity.ActiveReports.Core.Rendering.dll” to “bin\Debug\GrapeCity.ActiveReports.Core.Rendering.dll”. Exceeded retry count of 10. Failed. The file is locked by: “Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 (19552)”

This all worked on the old machine so I’m wondering if I’m missing a step? The only difference is that the solution is now being developed/debugged from a network location instead of the local hard drive.

Thanks for any help or jogging of my memory.

    Hello,

I think it is VS related error. You can follow the suggestion as given in the following links:
