    Hi Sir,

Actually we are using the licensed version of ActiveReports 7. Now we plan to upgrade to the latest version.

So I am using the ActiveReports 16 trial version for testing, to check whether we are facing any compatibility issues?

But before that I am facing an issue, which we are getting an empty page after the EVALUATION Text (“This document was created using an EVALUATION version of ActiveReports 16. Only a licensed user may legally create reports for use in production. Please report infractions or address questions to activereports.sales@grapecity.com. Copyright © 2022 GrapeCity, inc. All rights reserved.”) in trial version.

So we just want to know whether the empty page along with the EVALUATION Text will be removed, once we get a latest licensed version of ActiveReports ?

Also I have attached a sample .rtf document for your reference. Please have a look and confirm the same. Many Thanks.

Note: We are using a html input as “richTextBox1.Load(notes, richTextType.html);”

    Hello Umasankar!

Yes, the evaluation message will disappear once you license the machine. About the extra page you are getting after every page could be a different issue. An extra page is usually added when the contents of the page is wider than the print page size (after removing the margins) please share a sample report with dummy data so we can reproduce this at our end and help you fix this issue.

    Hello Umasankar!

It seems that the issue was because of the evaluation banner only as when I rendered the report on my end no extra pages were added in the exported PDF and RTF files.

I have shared the exported files along with.

    Regards,

    Akshay

    Hi Sir,

    Thanks for the clarification.

Also I need one more clarification from you, regarding the Highlighting of a Text.

Actually it is working in PDF as expected. But in the RTF file, it is not working.

Could you please check and give a solution for the same. Many Thanks.

Note: You can use the same sample project, which I shared in the above posts.

Please find the attached screenshot for your reference.

    Hi Sir,

As I already mentioned as above that I am using the ActiveReports 16 trial version for testing, to check whether we are facing any compatibility issues?

But now I am facing one more issue in the generated .rtf file. Which that I have added the image or text in the Header or Footer part, it’s getting disappeared in few of the pages.

Could you please check and suggest that this might be, because of the EVALUATION Text (“This document was created using an EVALUATION version of ActiveReports 16. Only a licensed user may legally create reports for use in production. Please report infractions or address questions to activereports.sales@grapecity.com. Copyright © 2022 GrapeCity, inc. All rights reserved.”) in trial version.

And I have attached a sample .rtf & .pdf document, also the complete source code for your reference. Please have a look and confirm the same. Many Thanks.

Note: But in the .pdf, this issue is not reproducing. Only in the .rtf file alone.

    Hi Umasankar,

It seems you are talking about the additional pages that are seen in the MS Word view of the exported RTF. Exporting a rendered report tries to export the exact image of the report i.e. if the rendered report consists of 5 pages which means there will only be 5 page headers in the exported RTF. The MS Word has its own WYSIWYG layout. As RichTextBox’s width is bigger than the report width, to contain the text which is in the same page for the PDF export or the report view moves to the next page for the RTF Export.

    Hi Sir,

    Thanks for your response.

Could you please execute the above source code and generate the .rtf file from your end without “Evaluation” text and share it to me. So that we will check and make a decision to buy the latest version license to upgrade the Active Report from which we already using the old version.

And also could you please confirm, the generated .pdf & .rtf file will not reproduce the issues, which we specified in the above conversations with the purchase of the latest version license? Based on your confirmation we will plan to buy the latest version license.

    Hi Umasankar,

I have attached the exported RTF along with this reply.

    >> could you please confirm, the generated .pdf & .rtf file will not reproduce the issues, which we specified in the above conversations with the purchase of the latest version license?

Like I mentioned in the previous reply the report you shared has controls moving out of the section area which is causing the text to shift forward in the RTF export and moving to the next page. If you fix the layout of the report then yes just like the PDF the RTF Export will not reproduce this issue.
