  Hi,

  Are we able to control max sizes for FormattedText regardless of content? Or is there an ability to apply ShrinkToFit similar to TextBox control with a fixed size?

  Hello,

  Sorry, it is not possible to control the max sizes for FormattedText. As a workaround, You can use PageReport as a SubReport in a RDL Report. You can do the following thing:

  1: Place a Formatted Text in a PageReport
  
  2: Set the margin of the report to 0
  
  3 : Set the Report page size same as Formatted Text
  
  4: Now use the PageReport as a subReport in the RDL Report

  Please refer to attached reports.

  For the subreport it seems like it is inserting a “full page” but the Formatted Text itself is fix height, i would get all this whitespace/new page after the formatted text

  Hello Steven,

  Actually, Main report overrides the paper size of the subreport. Is it feasible for you to use PageReport instead of the RdLReport for report generation?

  Also, I have escalated the case to the development team(274404) as an enhancement request to support CanGrow/CanShrink properties in FormattedText.

  Hello,

  Sorry for the delay!

  Currently, we do not have plans to support CanGrow/CanShrink properties in FormattedText. However, this task is under consideration for the next major version.
