The Print button on the HTML5 Viewer used to work in Chrome. Now with their latest update to version 77 when you click on the print icon in the viewer nothing happens.

Seems to be related to this: https://pdfium.googlesource.com/pdfium.git/+/2021804f1b414c97667c03d7ab19daf66f6a19ef

Is there any workaround for this?

    Thanks

    Hello,

As a workaround, you can rollback to Chrome v76 or download it in PDF document (Save As. Button)and then print the report.

Also, AR10 was declared a legacy product now. It is out of maintenance mode now. Hence, we do not provide support for the same or no bug fixing will be done in the same. I would recommend you to use the latest version of ActiveReports i.e ActiveReports 13. Please refer to the following link for more information:

    Thanks,

We are having the same problem with ActiveReports 12.2, 12.3 and 13.2. Nothing happens when the print button is pressed. A message is logged to the console, “Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type application/pdf”, and then a URL with some information that looks something like https://our.domain.com/ActiveReports.ar12?Token=0xSomeHexNumbers&Command=Export&ExportType=Pdf&PrintOnOpen=True&PreviewPages=0&Generation=1.

    Is there any workaround?

Sorry, I see you mentioned some workarounds, but I meant like some way to override the print button (for example to download the PDF instead of printing it)

    Hello John,

It has been fixed in the latest hotfix of AR12 and AR13. You can download the same from the following links:

    https://cdn.grapecity.com/ActiveReports/ar12/hotfixes/ActiveReports-v12.3.18467.0.msi

    http://cdn.grapecity.com/ActiveReports/AR13/hotfixes/ActiveReports-v13.2.18456.0.msi

In this hotfix, on clicking the “Print” button, the report is download as PDF for print. Now, Direct printing is not supported in HTML5 viewer due to Chrome 77 changes. You can open the PDF document and print the Report.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks,

    Mohit
