Sub report files are not saved with the same location of the temporary report

    There’re some of the report pages I cannot preview. I think it because of the way the application saves as the emporary file for previewing.Yet there’s no subreport saved along.

    I am wondering if I can make the web designer able to aware of the related subreports and, by some way, user can preview the report containing the subreports without the error message.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Are you using a different path to save the temporary report? By default, the temporary report is saved in the default resource location of the WebDesigner. In my understanding, if your subreport also exists in the default location then there is no error that should occur while previewing the report.

    Could you please share the location of temp report, sub report and default location of the Web designer.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Hi Mohit,

    My resource location : D:/reports/

    Previewed report file D:/reports/type1/reportfile1.rdlx (this contains multiple sub reports)

    One of those subreport files: D:/reports/type1/subreportfile1.rdlx.

    temporary file for preview: D:/reports/$temp/0c1b7758-f6fb-4988-b06e-82adf499fcab.rdlx

    So, is the service able to render 0c1b7758-f6fb-4988-b06e-82adf499fcab.rdlx ?

    Hi Mohit, It does not work, even I already uninstalled → reinstalled the new fix version → activated license → rebuild the solution on VS 2019 . the output dlls now are not licensed . beside of that now I received error that is unclear to me. :

    {"Error":"Could not load file or assembly 'GrapeCity.ActiveReports, Version=13.2.18715.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=cc4967777c49a3ff' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.","ErrorCode":"UnknownError"}

    Hello,

    Could you please upgrade your application using the “Convert to ActiveReports13” in Tools menu bar of Visual studio. Please make sure that you have no old reference present in the “licenses.licx”, “Web.config” filles.

    You need to replace all the AR js files manually with the latest one.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    after installing new fix version of AR 13, as rebuilding the solution I also got error :

    Unable to resolve type ‘GrapeCity.ActiveReports.PageReport, GrapeCity.ActiveReports’ which is related to file licenses.licx

    Hello,

    Have you applied the solution given in my previous reply?

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Hi Mohit, After activate with license and converting to AR 13 using VS tool, as building the project the all dlls are still not type-resolved at license.licx

    IT working now, thank you Mohit. API /report_name.rdlx/content gets error.

    {"Error":"One or more errors occurred.","ErrorCode":"UnknownError"}

    while reports/list still works.
