Invalid file format, the guids do not match - Active Reports error

    Hi,
    I am working in a web application in which Active Reports 6 is used as the reporting tool. From December , I have been getting the below error message while trying to load reports in my local PC only.
    "Invalid file format, the guids do not match"
    Until this incident, the reports were working perfectly.
    In server machine, its working perfectly.
    Could u people give me a solution for this.

    Hello,

    Please note that AR6 is out of development mode now and we don't support it. I suggest you to upgrade to our latest version i.e AR14. For more information, you can refer the following link:

    Also, you can download the trial version of AR14 from the following link:
    https://www.grapecity.com/download/activereports

    for AR6, It seems that AR6 is not compatible with latest updates of windows. Could you please try after uninstalling all updates since December.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply. Actually we are using Flash viewer in Active reports now. Since its is not supported in AR Version 13, 14 can we upgrade to AR version 12 ?

    Hello,

    You can upgrade to AR12. However, AR12 is also out of development mode now, We can't fix any bug in this AR12.
    I would suggest you upgrade to JSViewer from FlashViewer for better features and performance. Also, we both know flash is outdated technology and even chrome remove the support of flash in Dec 20. So, IMHO, it is better to use JSViewer in your new upgraded application.
    You can use JSViewer in your asp.net application as well.
