  Hi! I am working with an application that I have been asked to bring up on Windows 10. The codebase that was given to me appears to have dependencies on ActiveReports3. Is it still possible to acquire the necessary assemblies to rebuild this application? If so, where would i find them?

  Thanks! Ran into a small problem though. The install is telling me that there is no compatible version of Visual Studio.NET installed. i am running VS 2015. Is that not compatible with AR3?

  Unfortunately not. AR3 was released much earlier than VS2015 and requires Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 SP1 or 2.0 as stated in the documentation.

  I did install MS .NET SDK 2.0 and I can see it in my control panel list of installed applications. I also enabled .NET 3.5 in the control panel which is supposed to contain 2.0. What else am I missing?

  Do you still get the same error? If you do, then you would also need Visual Studio 2005 to be able to install AR3.

  Ok, that is what I suspected. In that case, what would be the current version of AR that would be most compatible with the AR3 apis? I need to be able to get this to run on Windows 10.

  If you’re looking to upgrade, I would suggest upgrading to the latest version i.e v11. You can look at the new features and enhancements that have been added in v11- http://help.grapecity.com/activereports/webhelp/AR11/index.html#WhatsNew.html

  And to upgrade your AR3 reports to AR11, please see this link - http://help.grapecity.com/activereports/webhelp/AR11/index.html#MigratingVer3.html
