QR Code scan problem

I’m working on a crystal report in VS 2008 plus MySQL. I need to generate and print barcodes, including QR Code in it. I made some mockup barcodes to test the length and characters. I’ve made one QR Code successfully. However, when it comes to scanning, it seems not working. What’s wrong with it?

I doubt there are two possibilities: one is the printing problem, have you calculated the checksum manually? The other is that the whitespaces are not large enough around barcode.

Thanks a lot. The software computes the checksum automatically. I follow the suggestion and trying with the barcode generation fonts with various length of the QR Code. The reader now could scan 6 digits of the barcode now. But could not read barcode with short length.

I think you may insert the human-readable text, it tells about the what kind of barcode you generated. The human-readable text may influence the scanning of barcode http://www.keepautomation.com/products/net_barcode/barcodes/qrcode.html.

OK, I will try to disable the readable text and create again, hope it works. :frowning:

Sorry, I am not an expert for barcode reader, but I have one doubt that does the human-readable text really influence the barcode scanning? From the two professional barcode website, I did not find the reasons.

Take a look at this QR Code barcode scanner:

You can also find QR Code barcode generators there, like:

To scan a QR Code correctly, there’s some requirements. Besides data checksum, data type, quiet zone, barcode size is also should be concerned. Form my experience, I ever used a [url=http://www.barcodelib.com/vb_net/barcode_reader_vbnet.html]barcode reading library to scan, decode QR Code barcode images from several image formats; directly scan all QR Code images from a single file. It supports [url=http://www.barcodelib.com/vb_net/barcode_reader/qrcode.html]reading QR Code barcode.

If the MYSQL is not starting then you can see the entire settings which you need to follow for the printer and the scanner which can also be the main problem of the connectivity with the software and then you can contact to the - [url= https://www.driver.support/canon-printers-support/]Canon Printers Support
