How do you load an existing pdf file in to the ‘C1PdfDocument’, so you are then able to add a footer as a time stamp?

    Hi,

C1PdfDocument is used to create a new pdf document from scratch. It does not allow loading an existing pdf.

You can use “Grapecity Documents for PDF” for this purpose and use its DocumentInfo.CreationDate property.

    https://www.grapecity.com/en/documents-api-pdf

    http://help.grapecity.com/gcdocs/gcpdf/onlinehelp/webframe.html#Overview.html

Note that CreationDate will take the date of the loaded pdf document. This has been shown in the attached sample.

For further issues related to C1PdfDocument of ComponentOne Studio, kindly post the query on WinForms forums: https://www.grapecity.com/en/forums/winforms-edition

    Best Regards,

    Esha

Please note that the question was about C1PdfDocument while this forum is actually about a different product, GrapeCity.Documents.Pdf.GcPdfDocument - which DOES allow loading and modifying existing PDFs. See the ‘Documents for PDF’ link in the sidebar for details.
