    Hi,

Our support team uses Adobe Acrobat Reader Standard DC to create some PDF documents.

They have a use case where they want to use checkboxes like radio buttons, i.e. if they have two checkboxes, only one should be checked (they should be mutually exclusive).

I attached a video of how it should work (it works with Adobe Acrobat Reader Standard DC).

    Expected behavior.zip

Currently, using GrapeCity PdfViewer, both checkboxes are checked when we try to only select one.

We have a license for GrapeCity PdfViewer. Do you think we should create a support ticket?

    Hi Manish!

    Thanks for your answer.

I attached a PDF example where we can see the problem.

    442-1.zip

To reproduce, open the PDF with GC Viewer and try to select one of the checkboxes. Both checkboxes are checked when we try to only select one.

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Rui

    Hi Manish,

thank you for your feedback so far.

We are trying to replace our old pdf component with the Grapecity viewer.

Unfortunately the problem described by Rui is a showstopper for us at the moment as many of our existing forms are affected.

Until when can we expect a solution to this? Would it help if we create an official support request?

    Best regards,

    Paul

    Hey Manish!

We’ve updated to the latest version but the problem doesn’t seem to be fixed yet, or at least, not totally fixed. For example, when you save the file, using GC viewer, the resulting file will have both checkboxes checked (or none of the checkboxes checked).

To reproduce the problem, you can use the GC viewer in this demo:

    https://www.grapecity.com/documents-api-pdfviewer/demos/editor/edit-forms/purejs

    1. Load the file that I attached before (442-1.zip - https://gccontent.blob.core.windows.net/discourse-forum-uploads/file-bab75d2d-398d-4efe-8cfe-3f39531f6e4b.zip)

2 a). Select, for example, on the second page, the checkbox option with value “folgende Mängel:”.

3.a) Click ‘Save’. In the resulting file, none of that checkboxes is checked.

2.b). Select, for example, on the second page, the checkbox option with value “keine Mängel”.

3)b) Click ‘Save’. In the resulting file, both checkboxes are checked.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,

    Rui Freitas
