Are the components able to create PDF/A documents (A-1, 2 or 3)?

    Thanks,

    Manuel

    Hi Manuel,

Yes, GcPdf supports the creation of PDF/A documents and allows to set the PDF/A conformance levels as well.

It has been mentioned at the below mentioned documentation link, for your reference:

    http://help.grapecity.com/gcdocs/gcpdf/onlinehelp/webframe.html#KeyFeatures.html

Also, refer the product sample at the following link, which shows how to create a PDF/A-3u conformant document:

    http://demos.componentone.com/gcdocs/gcpdf/Samples/List#PdfA/codeCS

Note the usage of ConformanceLevel property of GcPdf here.

    Regards,

    Hi Esha,

Thanks for answering! Since I am using C1PDF I would have to switch to a different licensed component - am I right?

    Thanks,

    Manuel

Edit: Seems to be available in C1 because I found a C1.C1Pdf.PdfAConformanceLevel Enum but not a corresponding Property on the C1PdfDocument Object…

    Hi Manuel,

As the issue is posted under Grapecity Documents for PDF, I assumed your requirement to be related to the same product. Yes, Grapecity Documents for PDF is a separate product and thus, needs a different license. For C1Pdf related queries, you can post cases on the WinForms forum: https://www.grapecity.com/forums/winforms-edition

Yes, C1Pdf supports ConformanceLevel, as shown in the attached application. However, note that only PdfA2b is fully supported, as mentioned in the documentation: https://help.grapecity.com/componentone/NetHelp/c1pdf/webframe.html#C1.C1Pdf.4~C1.C1Pdf.PdfAConformanceLevel.html

    Thanks,

    Esha
