PDFViewer is rendering the output differently when compared to Adobe reader. Interestingly the pdf file we are viewing in the Adobe Reader is pdf file we saved out of the C1.PDFViewer control.

As you can notice in the images attached the amount is not with in the textbox. All the fonts we are using are embedded ones or PDF native fonts. Is there any essential attribute we need to set that we are missing currently to cause this?

I read through couple of topics related to invoice with Chinese characters not being consistent between PDFViewer vs Reader, so we tried with 5.0.20141 with no success or improvement. Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

I can observe the issue with the images. I am assuming that the pdf file is generated using C1Pdf control?

Could you please try with the latest C1Pdf and C1PdfViewer release and let me know if the issue persists :

If it does, please attach your pdf file.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

If the document loaded into the C1PDFViewer control is created via the C1PDFDocument object containing Chinese text, then I would like to inform you that it is a limitation for now. C1Pdf (xaml versions) support only Latin2 (first 256 characters).

Else, if the issue is not specific to the Chinese characters, then I would request you to please share the following information :

    1. Is the issue replicable with the latest release of C1Silverlight Build : 5.0.20142.409 available at :

      prerelease.componentone.com/silverlight5/c1silverlight/2014-t2/C1Silverlight5_5.0.20142.409.zip

Please confirm the behavior at your end with the latest build.

    1. If the issue persists with the latest build too then you are requested to share your PDF File, that is loaded into the PDFViewer control, so that we could reproduce the behavior at our end and provide you with further appropriate assistance.

    Regards,

    Reema

Our document doesn’t contain any Chinese text but it is generated out of our backend service. However the backend is not using C1 components to generate the pdf bytes.

We tried with the new release (20142.409) but we still notice rendering differences, attached is the pdf.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Awesome Review! I always prefer Adobe Reader for pdf. It is really good. Yesterday, While using Adobe reader it shows [url=https://www.adobesupportphonenumber.com/blog/troubleshoot-acrobat-dc-failed-to-connect-dde-server-windows-10/]Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server I am not able to understand it. Does anyone have a solution to it?
