    Hello Mikael,

    1. Regarding the cell background color, can you please ensure that the Zoom% in PDF is 100. Because background is exported as command, when the Zoom is not 100%, they may not match and the issue also depend on PDF Viewer. With the specified zoom, the issue may be seen in a PDF Viewer but not other PDF Viewer.

So, to please try to set viewer zoom to 100%. This has resolved the problem for me.
    2. Regarding the cell border extending: This is a bug in control and will be fixed in a future release version [ID:12015]. I will get back to you as soon as there is an ETA available.

    Hi Mikael,

    >I all settings where included in the xml. Do you suggest any corrections in it?

Loading the xml in spread and after exporting it to PDF, to observe the cell backcolors fill properly, please set the Zoom to 100% in the PDF viewer.

    Hello Ruchir

The problem is the pdf and not the view zoom. If i export a pdf from excel its nice and filled no matter what zoom im using.

    Hello Mikael,

Like mentioned earlier, the issue with backcolor and borders is a well-known generic issue with exporting to PDF. Because border and background are exported as command, when you don’t use 100% zoom, they may not match. And the issue also depends on PDF Viewer. With the specified zoom, the issue may be seen in a PDF Viewer but not other PDF Viewer.

I checked this with Microsoft Excel and it too shows extended cell borders and cell background color not being filled correctly, when the zoom is not 100%. Please see attached files, that show the issue with MS-Excel as well.

    Hello

When you say exported as a comman. What do you mean ?

I see that you got same problem when zooming out to 66,7 % from excel.

But there is a huge difference still between the spread and the excel. When i zoom in on the excel exports thay are nice, and many people zoom in to read. If i zoom in on a excel export i see this:

    From the spread:

    Hi Mikael,

Though, the outputs from Excel and Spread are similar at 100% zoom, I can see the difference at higher zoom%. So, I have forwarded it to the devs and they will try to improve/fix it post v14 release.

    Thanks & regards,

    Hi Mikael,

The Spread v14 release fixes the other issues (shape quality and color filling, in PDF), however, the mis-alignment issue is from old implementation and hasn’t been fixed yet. The team is keeping track of this issue and will try to improve/fix it in next release(s).

    Confusion caused is regretted.

    Hi Mikael,

    Thank you for understanding.

Spread releases one major version annually followed by (generally) 2 service packs with ~4 months interval.

    Thanks & Regards,
