    Hi,

We have a visual basic application in windows xp where we are using Spread 2.5 binaries.

We are now trying to move our code base from xp to Windows 7 service pack 1. We are facing issues while installing spread 2.5 in windows 7 as per below instructions

    1. Unzip Spread 2.5.zip and place Spread25.lic file in Windows system directory
    2. Run setup.exe in vb121198.zip

While trying to execute the setup.exe we are facing compatibility issus even though we tried to change the compatibility mode from xp to windows 7. Below is snippet of error message

“This version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you’re running. Check your computer’s system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program”

    Hello,

I would suggest you to test this 32 bit installer for Spread 2.5 with Windows 7:

    http://download.componentone.com/pub/Spread25/sd2560.zip

Please note that it is a very old product and has never tested against Windows 7 so the installer given here may or may not work.

    Thanks,

    Hi Deepak,

Thanks for your reply. The provide binaries (sd2560.zip) have two exe files but they not getting install on Window 7.

Receiving below error when tried to install Ss32d25.exe

“The program can’t start because Ss32d25.dll is missing from your computer”.

Receiving below error when tried to install Ss16d25.exe

"“This version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you’re running. Check your computer’s system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program” .

We are using window 7 64 bit , could you please provide binaries which can run on Win 7 (64 bit).
