Relative table column references work differently than excel.

    1. Click an adjacent row in a table while in cell edit mode gives the A1 notion not column reference. Clicking should [@olumn1]

    2. The whole col is highlighted in Spreadjs. Excel only does the relative row.

    3. Excel by default populates the entire column with the relative references.

    Hi Jeff,

For 1). and 3), We are able to replicate the issue at our end and hence we have forwarded it to the concerned team for further investigation of the issue(SJS-4302). We will let you know about any updates regarding the same.

For 2). We are unable to replicate it, I’ve attached a screenshot of the behaviour observed at our end. Please have a look at it and let us know if we are missing something here

when doing text it does not auto complete the column.

An additional note. When doing a col reference in an adjacent cell excel detects the reference to the table and autocompletes the table.

Note: This cell reference is done through a cell click in formula edit mode.

Cool, We are particularly interested in:

    1. Click an adjacent row in a table while in cell edit mode gives the A1 notion. Clinking a column reference should show column notation i.e. [@Column1].

A rough estimate of the release outlook would be great.

We are sorry but we not have an ETA for now. I’ve asked the dev team for an ETA and will let you know as soon as I get an update from the dev team.

    Hi Jeff,

The Devs are working on this feature and it should be added in the 14.2.0 build which would release in late July.

A relative reference in Excel is a pointer to a cell or range of cells. For example, a relative reference to cell A1 looks like this: = A1 A relative address will change when copied to another location in a worksheet because it describes the "offset… An Excel Table is a special object for managing data in Excel.
