    Hi ,

I have group panel when user added some column to that, grouping will be applied.
when I add more data to that the grouping will disappear.

is there any way to maintain the same grouping after adding new data also.

    Thanks,
    Bhagwati

    Hello,

You would be required to store the groupDescriptions before the data update and restore the groupDescriptions by pushing new grouped columns into the groupDescriptions after the itemsSource gets changed. You may use the itemsSourceChanging and itemsSourceChanged events to store and restore the groupDescriptions. Please refer to the sample link below demonstrating the same:

    Hi,

In my case I am not adding grouping at initial, I have group panel where user can drag and drop columns.
if user added some column by drag and drop now I want to store that column so when I add new data that grouping will be applied.

    Thanks,
    Bhagwati

    Hello,

Sorry for the late response, it seems due to some technical issues this case was lost in the process. The sample provided in the above response seems to be representing the use case you have mentioned. There isn't any grouping applied initially, on applying the grouping by drag/drop columns into the group panel the restoring of grouped columns is also working fine as expected.

If you are facing any issues in the above-shared sample link then please share a screenshot/gif of the exact issue. If you have some other requirements then let us know.

    Regards
