    Hello Team GrpeCity,

wj-auto-complete dropdown not works , if i type the available dropdown option/value into input field.

For example, If i typed value “Dummy1” (which iis available in autocomplete dropdown options)

    Two issue occurs

#1 Its not get selected the way we have select it from dropdown options.

As while start typing value name as “Dumm” means first 3 - 4 letters , dropdown activate & shows the available option related it .

But when i typed complete “Dummy1” into input field , its not selected no event fires . and further next drop depend on it , not occur or refresh or populate. (If i typed complete value name).

#2 on typing complete value name in input field only then a thin bar shows below of input field .

Please attachment image to under stand more.

Please suggest , Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Regarding your 1st issue, this is an expected behavior. Autocomplete is a searching control. It helps the user to filter out values so that the user can easily select values from a smaller list. Autocomplete does not select any value by itself. You will need to click on the value in the drop-down panel or use the arrow keys to navigate to the value and press enter to select the appropriate value.

Regarding 2, we are sorry but we were unable to replicate the issue at our end. Please refer to the screenshot below:

Can you please let us know whether we are missing something in order to replicate the issue? It may be possible that some CSS may be causing this issue.

    Regards,

    Ashwin

    Hello Ashwin.saxena,

Actually on typing complete “Dummy1” in Autocomplete input field. Its not showing/filter out values so that we can easily select it from a list,

As per expectation it should shows “Dummy1” in given list of option. But as you saw in attached image highlighted yellow mark bar is shown instead.

    Your suggestion’ll always welcome.

P.S I have gone through css nothing we got from there.

    Hi,

As you can see in the previous response, this issue does not occur in a simple autocomplete. So, there must be some customization applied at your end that may be causing this issue and I will not be able to assist you unless I also be able to replicate the issue.

Can you let me know what other customizations are applied? Which version of Wijmo are you using? What are the exact steps to replicate the issue?

    ~regards
