  I have ported a C# Project to Core 3
  
  It is compileable.
  
  But starting the program throws a System.NullReferenceException.

  the same is true running your DotNetCore3App - C1FlexGrid SubTotals example.

  What went wrong?

  Is there a special version of the winForm components required?

  Please answer.

  We regret you have to face trouble migrating your project. The problem you are facing is a known bug in the control [ID:401707].
  
  However, I am also happy to inform you that the team has resolved the issue in an internal version. Currently, it is being tested and once it passes, the fix will be public.
  
  I will inform you once the fix is released.
