    Hi,

When using FlexPivot I have had issues with Top N not returning the number of results requested even when there are more than N returned in respect of the filters applied.

I have attached screenshots of your sample ‘Custom C1FlexPivotPage’ showing an initial set of filtered results with 12 entries.

After adding a Top N filter of 10 only 8 of the original 12 results are shown.

    Is this behaviour by design?

    Regards

    Tim

    Hi Tim,

We too can observe the issue at our end, thus escalated this to the developers and will let you know once we get any update on this from the developers’ end.

    Hi Tim,

We have got the response from the developers and as per them, it is correct behavior. Top 10 of countries by ExtendedPrice sum are: ‘USA’, ‘Germany’, ‘Austria’, ‘Brazil’, ‘France’, ‘UK’, ‘Venezuela’, ‘Sweden’, ‘Canada’, ‘Ireland’. The ProductName = ‘Alice Mutton’ filter covers only 8 of them. See the attached screenshot for more clarity.

Thank you for that, I was aware of what was being displayed but I was actually looking for the top 10 countries by extended price for sales of Alice Mutton only rather than the countries within the overall top 10 that bought Alice Mutton.

If that is the designed behaviour then I will change my data retrieval to achieve the required result.

    Regards

    Tim

    Hi Tim,

The filters are applied directly to the data, not on the filtered data that is why you are getting only 8 values and this is the default behavior so I will request you to change your data retrieval to achieve the required result.

If you need any other help, please let me know.

    Regards,

    Prabhat Sharma.
