    Hello Victor,

For me to be able to assist you, kindly answer a few questions:

    1. In the “C:\Program Files (x86)\ComponentOne\WinForms Edition\bin\v4.5.2” directory, are the ComponentOne dlls present?
    2. Add Reference to the C1.Win.C1Report.4.5.2.dll from the above-mentioned location manually.

2.1. Expand the References node in the solution explorer.

2.2 Replace the existing C1 assemblies with the corresponding assemblies at the above-mentioned location.

[ To replace the assemblies follow these steps:

    a. Delete the existing assembly from the project.

    b. Right-click on the References node and click on ‘Add References’.

    c. In Reference Manager, Click on the Browse button. And, browse to the above-mentioned default location of assemblies.

    d. Select the assemblies and add. ]

2.3 Close all the Form designers of the project.

2.4 Clean and Rebuild the solution.

This should resolve the errors in your application related to the missing references.

    1. Add ComponentOne controls to the toolbox as follows:

3.1 Right-click in the Toolbox. Select “Add Tab”. Give a name to the tab.

3.2 Right-click in that tab, select “Choose Items”. “Choose Toolbox Items” dialog appears.

3.3 Click on Browse. Move to the location of the default assemblies.

3.4 Select the C1.Win.C1Report.4.5.2.dll, controls related to which you wish to add to the Toolbox. Click Open.

3.5 Finally, click OK in the “Choose Toolbox Items” dialog.

This should make the controls available in the Toolbox. Likewise, you can do it for other assemblies.

If you need any other help, please let us know.

    Regards,

    Prabhat Sharma.

    Hello Prabhat,

I’m using dlls from folder 4.0 instead of 4.52, I don’t believe I have a license for the 4.52 version. Can you please confirm.

    Thanks,

    Victor

    Hello Prabhat,

I added remode the 4.0 DLLs and added the 4.52 version of the DLLs but can’t find the C1.Win.C1TrueDBGrid.4.52.Designer.DLL in the 4.52 folder. How do access the Design.DLL file?

    Thanks,

    Victor

    Hello Victor,

When using 4.5.2 version dlls there is no need for any extra Designer.dll.

So it is not there in the bin folder.

If you face any issue due to this then please let us know.
