Firstly apologies I have probably asked the questions before.

Is there or has anyone created a runtime editor for FlexChart. What I am looking for is to allow the user to format their charts in a similar way to that done within Excel charts.

At present we are using C1Charts and call the ShowProperties which gives us what we need.

    Hi Steven,

The Runtime editor for FlexChart is not available yet. However, we have this support in our product backlog but no ETA can be provided as of now.

So, we’ll update you whenever we have any information regarding this feature.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Steven,

We are working on a runtime designer for FlexChart, It is in preliminary stage. This might get released in 2019 V2 as a sample, before we finalise the release based on feedbacks.

If you have some particular suggestions then could you please share it?

    Thanks

    hi,

sorry for the really late response, i have been on other projects and did not get a notification of your post (dam spam filters).

Before I get to your questions could you tel me the current status of c1chart, specifically does it sort .Net Core.

I have not taken an in depth look at the FlexChart but from what I saw the functionality was very limited. What we use most is the ability to change line ans symbol styles. Next is the ability to change Axis - crossing points, major/minor ticks, grid lines. Changing the position of the Legend is also .

    Hi Steven,

    > c1chart, specifically does it sort .Net Core

I could use C1Chart with the .NetCore. However, since C1Chart is in maintenance since now so I’m confirming its support from devs also. Will update you as soon as I hear from them. (TFS ID: 438016)

    > change line ans symbol styles.

In FlexChart, you may use Series.Style and Series.SymbolStyle for this. https://www.grapecity.com/componentone/docs/win/online-flexchart/series.html#i-heading-style-a-series

    >Next is the ability to change Axis - crossing points, major/minor ticks, grid lines.

You may use various properties defined on FlexChart.Axis for this. Refer to the following for details:

    https://www.grapecity.com/componentone/docs/win/online-flexchart/axis-elements.html

    https://www.grapecity.com/blogs/customize-chart-axis-format-plot-scale-overlap-and-more

    > Changing the position of the Legend is also

You can simply specify legend position using FlexChart.Legend.Position. https://www.grapecity.com/componentone/docs/win/online-flexchart/legends.html

You can let us know if there is your any specific requirement in any of the above context.

Just to inform you, FlexChart now also supports run time editor. You may refer to the product sample from ‘Documents\ComponentOne Samples\WinForms\v4.5.2\C1FlexChart\CS\ChartDesigner’.
