  Theming a C1DateEdit control using C1ThemeController - whether the one from C1Input or from Calendar - takes an awfully long time. In my tests, about 0.25 seconds in design time or 0.17 seconds at run time.

  Is that what is expected or is there something that can be done about the speed?

  Hello,

  The time taken in applying theme on any control whether at design time or at run time is totally dependent on your system performance.

  So it could be possible that the observations on different systems may come different.

  Wll yes, true, but applying themes to other controls takes 1/10th or less of the time it takes for C1DateEdit.

  Hello,

  Others controls also take almost the same time and the little extra time taken by C1DateEdit is due to calendar initialization, this is by design.

  I suggest you to use CalendarView’s C1DateEdit as it has better performance than C1Input’s C1DateEdit and it is a new control.

  Thank you. I guess theming is just… expensive.
