Raleigh, NC - November 17, 2015 - GrapeCity, a leading provider of data visualization, analysis, and reporting components, announced an update to their spreadsheet and grid collection, Spread Studio v9. This release continues GrapeCity's commitment to providing developers with the most up-to-date technology possible by adding support for Microsoft's latest releases as well as other cutting edge features that give analysis and reporting features to JavaScript developers.

While Spread is traditionally known for .NET technology, it also includes a full JavaScript solution, SpreadJS. This release introduces a table slicer control that makes it the most versatile tool of its kind. Developers can now present users with controls such as buttons, sliders, and checkboxes to narrow data sets to a specific view. This is similar to the slicer control found in Excel's Pivot Tables and makes SpreadJS a great solution for web-based dashboards. Also included in this release is an improved Excel import/export component, print support, and a handful of Excel-like features. "These features set SpreadJS apart from other products of its kind," commented Elbaytam, "SpreadJS is more than a Spreadsheet. It can be used as a flexible data display, analysis, and reporting tool."

All components in Spread Studio v9 work with Windows 10, Visual Studio 2015, and Excel 2016. Touch support for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome has also been enhanced for ASP.NET apps. Issam Elbaytam, Spread's Global Product Manager, reiterated GrapeCity's commitment to the development community, "Windows developers have relied on Spread to support Microsoft's latest releases for over 20 years and this latest round is no exception."

Spread's WinForms components received many other UI enhancements such as support for high DPI, smoother scrolling, and improved touch support for input controls. "WinForms development is still relevant and we strive to support modern devices and user experience standards," said Elbaytam.
